It looks like we might have an ice rink for the grand opening next year. I’m not sure if they are installing a temporary/annually or a permanent ice pad. If they have enough compressor horse power they could run it all year. Maybe get rid of the salt.

Probably ice up to the first phase benches. No more grass I guess. They could roll up the ice mats and add new grass each year or just pour concrete over the ice mat.
They have a few wooden stools and two gas fire pits just to the left below - not shown..

Great photo update. I didn't realize we are getting an ice rink, very cool.

I know there is no dedicated thread for this property, but I will just put this here anyway. Has anyone ever thought about this idea for this property, where they build some sort of building on the "Red" area, extend the elevated path walkways "blue" over Young St and under the Gardiner Expressway, but above Lakeshore Blvd E, and tuck the Gardiner exit ramp "yellow" underneath the Gardiner Expressway, where it would merge onto Lakeshore Blvd E then freeing up this trangle plot of land.

I am sure someone, somewhere has thought of getting rid of the Yonge Street off-ramp and using the space for another building but not sure this is the best place to discuss it. MODS: You may want to move to Lower Yonge Precinct Plan thread?? https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/waterfront-lower-yonge-precinct-plan.19240/page-9

I mentioned this in the Sugar Wharf phase 1 or 2 or possibly in the Pinnacle thread when talking about the PATH in the last 30 days. Maybe the high speed rail terminal will go here and/or connect to or replace the Green P.
