Please tell me there will be shiny glass spandrel covering the concrete on the lower levels of the back side (north elevation) of the building!
Something will inevitably be built there. For what it's worth, the only place you can see that concrete wall is standing right in front of it on Ed Mirvish Way and Pearl or with a drone. You can't even see it just a little further up on Duncan.

I am sure you are correct about it eventually being blocked by another building, but with this market correction, it could be a while before something is built there. It seems visible in a number of shots, and anyone living in a high-rise can be considered a drone lol.

This should end the nonsense discussions how the second tower will never be built. It's coming. Just a few years behind schedule. These towers will be architectural masterpieces, the final project by a world famous artist who is now deceased. The second tower is his last vision and will be his tallest building ever. Buyers will see value in that, and I imagine they won't have a problem selling it. Worst case, they can always allocate 20 floors of the building to a hotel and do residential for the other part.

I agree. This will sell well - just not now.

To be fair, there was reasonable speculation in this economic climate about the second tower until GG publicly stated they are still planning to build it...even if we didn't agree with it. But now we know, unless GG says otherwise...expect the second tower to be built. And hopefully in my lifetime.

I agree that it will be built, but they won't be able to sell shoebox units to investors like they did the first tower. I think a mixed use development with a high end hotel and luxury condos or purpose built rental give it the best hope for starting in the shorter term.
