Is there any work being done to the station too, or is it just the +15 getting the refresh?
Afailk nothing for the station (it did get an internal refresh a few years back), but if they were to do something I would love for it to just be reclad with new black panels to replace the old faded ones

In contrast to Scotia Place, they don't seem to be using much structural steel. Can anyone point to why or why not?
Based on my educational learning, Scotia Place requires long structural spans to minimize obstructions over the rink and concourse areas. It also saves a lot of time since most of the steel components can be manufactured off-site and then quickly assembled on site.

I find the thin roof horrendous - perhaps if it had a chunkier profile it would be better - not sure.
Something about the rounded massing bothers me too - looks like a bloated fish carcass.
