I thought only the new north luxury suites would remain after the World Cup?
Yes. They are already building the luxury suites and they will stay afterwards.

For the World cup, they will build some stands in the area in front of the luxury suites structures (the green area shown in the render), as well as more stands on top, where the Patio will be. Those will be temporary.

I would love if they managed to keep the temporary seating on the green area, but I think the cant do because of the Argos games.

I was born In south America so all those Luxury suites and Patios in stadiums feels way too "Gringo" for me (Please, take no offense on that everyone), and more for a Football stadium, but quite honestly I think this new construction will be a great addition (specially for the sad small stands that used to be there).

Looks like the expansion will be completed before the March International window where we play two friendly games in Toronto vs Tunisia and Iceland.

This is from the voyageurs presale for the games

They are only selling the lower bowl so far and nothing in the north so it's not clear if they will be ready.

My own speculation based on the construction photos we've seen is that the south expansion will be ready but the north won't.

True They usually sell in sections before opening others for canmnt games. Assuming it's ready and we sell out the lower bowl like vs Ecuador maybe we get to see those upper seats filled
