On the DVP bridge shift: a worker at the site told me it will take 55 hours in total to move the bridge, starting probably after midnight tonight. The exact start time will depend on when the DVP is fully closed.
Thanks for the intel! I'm planning to go at least once tomorrow and once on Sunday to get some shots.
I wonder what speed it will be moved at. I'm expecting/hope Metrolinx will have a time-lapse of the shift. They've done one for smaller stuff like big concrete pours so you would assume this is a no brainer.
Curious thing about the 55 hours... won't that take them to 7am Monday morning? I thought I saw that everything was suppose to re-open at 5AM.

I keep trying to figure out if this is EXACTLY one half of the bridge, or whether there will need to be a bit of a middle and then then other half built.
