Construction at 106 Street/102 Avenue:
I'm curious why St. Albert hasn't been a great partner? I haven't kept up to date but I think they have stuck with Edmonton Global despite a few municipalities recently departing, they also showed support for the Edmonton metro transit services commission prior to Edmonton leaving.Given the headache and cost that the CN yard will be, along with another headache dealing with a separate municipality that hasn't been the best partner lately, and with so much of our population growth happening south of the Henday, I think it makes much more sense to devote money to the south side and airport. Expanding to the airport should be the priority for Edmonton, not St. Albert.
The lights 100% need to be timed. For whatever reason they have not been yet. (Maybe because they havent installed them? Idk)Just wanted to echo the sentiments about the 104 ave traffic lights. And they haven't even installed all of the traffic lights yet. A brisk pace and no fear of jay walking could probably beat a car when travelling between 124-105.
However, on the plus side, the new configuration is far more pedestrian friendly and conducive to bridging the gap between MacEwan and downtown.
Email marigold. Some arrogant prick there gave me a lecture about how a professional has timed the lights…. Maybe a few dozen more emails will teach them not to gaslight and to actually look at the obvious problems.Just wanted to echo the sentiments about the 104 ave traffic lights.
