I was thinking the small house in front was kind of needless and they should gone with only the new portion, but the more I look at this, the more I like the house being part of it. It fits more into 34th's personality, which is quite a bit different than 33rd's.

I love how the 2 streets are developing differently!
 
This is well underway. The lot, except for the house, has been cleared.

Leonard is crushing it - only thing i'd say is to not do everything monotone white and black. Bring in some warmth and colour for variation. They use Hardie products and Plygem windows, so would suggest Cobblestone, Aged Pewter and/or Rich Espresso in the Statement Collection for James Hardie colour selections. For window colour i would vary it from black to commercial brown - cost is the same.

Just think that the other Leonard developments down 34th that are all Arctic white Hardie with black windows which is safe and easy could look monotonous - but the variation and warmth would help. Maybe splashing out on a Woodtone coating in Sand Castle or River Rock might be a good move to add depth/interest. Warm window colour tone and warm siding colour are current and something i've seen in London and Copenhagen a lot and would provide a different feel from the other Leonard developments down 34th.

If the addition (3-storey portion) are using a vertical siding, I would explore a textured series and limit the longer flat portions to avoid oil-canning.
