N.B. I'll be posting a bunch of recent development applications in Barrie. Generally, I'll only be including proposals that have had some activity in the last 2-3 years. There are a few more proposals that seem to have stalled years ago, so my posts today aren't exhaustive. But it's clear development is on fire in Barrie--another place flying relatively under the radar like KW and Hamilton. Apologies if any of these proposals have already been posted and please merge the threads.

Although a lot of these Barrie developments you have been posting @Undead are essentially greenfield sites, it is nice to see some decent density; a bit of a paradigm shift from what one would expect to take place on greenfield sites in a place like Barrie.

Etheir this or something in this area is under construction because there’s a crane and a partially constructed building.

The development crane towering over Barrie’s Bryne Drive is helping build five storeys of residences and commercial uses.
There are to be 48 residential units and seven ground-floor commercial spaces at 76 Bryne Dr., which is 1.95 acres.
