They've done road improvements up to that intersection (Stampede Trail - 14th Ave SE.)
North of that intersection they've only done the west sidewalk

While I dont know this for a fact, but based on geography and access, the vast majority of heavy construction access is from the south. Just seems a bit wild to me they would have completed any of the interior roadway stones (sidewalks, curbing, lighting is fine) knowing that would occur. Even if no major damage, just heavy wear and tear

Have been there weekly since construction started. The large majority of construction access has been on the east end of the site, via 12th Ave to 5A St. I haven't seen any heavy equipment traverse through the paving stone road areas.

Not to sidetrack things but have there been any progress on the 6th street underpass? Is that supposed to open when the arena does?

Sounds like it'll be a copy of the 4th Street underpass by this description on the city's project webpage:
The underpass will provide a new connection under CPKC rail, running north-south between 9 Avenue S.E and 11 Avenue S.E. at 6 Street S.E. It will feature two lanes in each direction along with well-lit pathways for pedestrians and active mode connections.

I’m not liking all that dead space from the top row to the roof of the building. I wish they could have placed some windows there to bring in natural sunlight.
