That last image is an incredible contrast in how the vision of century park devolved. Those original builds still look great so many years later. They are an anomaly in the city

Agreed, very Marzahn. And yes, for this to really work is needs good landscaping and places for people to hang out outside.

Greenery and parks and such would be nice, but I highly suspect it'll be more of what the other phase of this project has. Parking, baby! But lets hope...

I've heard of polishing a turd but you'd have to destroy all of the earth's resources to create enough polish to redeem that.... "thing".

I grew up in similar courtyard type buildings in Poland. The communist era ones were ugly as sin but every last one had a green space in the centre with benches for the olds and simple playgrounds for the littles. They were community hubs. And a pleasant place to overlook. I'll never understand North America's endless obsession with parking.
