The further away this tower is viewed, the better it looks. Although the surrounding buildings in relation to it do help, as the different cladding and spandrel colours at least alternate and create some urban texture.
 
Do we have an idea of what the retail will be? I vaguely recall there being a space allotted on Richmond.

Debris fell from an under-construction building in downtown Toronto on Friday, Toronto police say.

It happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. in the area of Richmond and Dundas streets.

In a notice, the City of Toronto said George Street closed from Adelaide to Richmond streets, as a result.


Video taken from the scene reveals what appears to be a maroon SUV with its rear window covered by plastic tarp, parked in a lot near marked police tape.

Police tell CTV News Toronto there were no reported injuries or damage.

Officers stayed at the scene until the site was secured about two hours later.
