A revised proposal for the western portion of Quayside introduces new phasing, refined tower forms, and an increase in affordable rental housing. The plan now features four towers, three mid-rises, and various community amenities in Toronto’s East Bayfront.

The team behind the latest addition to Harbord Street’s increasingly epic food scene met while working for the Alo Food Group. “We never actually all worked in the same restaurant at the same time, but it’s like a family when you work for that company,” says Ronnie Fishman. “We would see each other all the time.” Lee Bonds (bar manager) and Fishman (GM) worked front-of-house positions, and Rebekah Bruce was most recently chef de cuisine at Alobar Downtown.
“We always knew we wanted to do our own thing together,” says Fishman. “Something small, with history and a patio. And we had a feeling Piccolo Piano, in the old Harbord Room space, was going to close.” They followed their hunch, approaching the owners and securing the lease.

Dream restructures Quayside venture, now owns Phase I multifamily
UPDATED: Dream Impact Trust (MPCT-UN-T) and its development partner in the Quayside Impact Limited Partnership have restructured ownership of Phase 1 of the massive, multi-tower Toronto waterfront project. Dream entities now wholly own the multifamily component.

UPDATED: Dream Impact Trust (MPCT-UN-T) and its development partner in the Quayside Impact Limited Partnership have restructured ownership of Phase 1 of the massive, multi-tower Toronto waterfront project. Dream entities now wholly own the multifamily component.
Key bits:
Dream now has the rental component - Great Gulf is out.
Great Gulf now has the condo phase - Dream is out.
This is a step on the road to CMHC financing.
Construction target (ground breaking) is late Q4 2026 (this year).
