I am VERY out of the loop on this so apologies if this is covered in another forum and is super old news, but does anyone know why they didn't end up going with the 50-story tower in this location? I have a view of this lot from my balcony so I'm excited to watch the progress and will hopefully be able to provide updates here if anyone is interesed

Economics of building a hi-rise in Edmonton just doesn't make sense right now.

We technically have the DP happening for Falcon II, and the Switch Tower is supposedly starting this year (and the Connect Tower has plans for a tower coming soon), so not sure if it's fully doom and gloom for high rises yet.

Developers with deeper pockets will PROBABLY be able to take the risk over some others...I have to imagine.
