Now that one of the TBM machines is almost fully assembled at Exhibition, I'm wondering if they would launch one of the first before the other one?
I heard that having 1 TBM lead helps to find any less than ideal soil conditions and gives information for the second TBM

The plan is to start one before the other but last start date announced is Spring, so we probably have another month+ of waiting.

They have to. You can't have two TBMs operating parallel to each other.

The idea situation is that the second TBM follows through the same area a month or so after the first. This is to try and limit any subsidence through as they pass.

where will they relocate the girder to?

2041 would be a joke
very much looking at an early 2030s completion date.
Lol I did say early 2030s for a reason
Imo that means anything before 2035
2041 is excessive pessimism though we do have numbers now to conclude that it’s unlikely to be 2031
If I had to put my money down: 2033
^Re (all of the above): ditto for the T1 replacement.

Interesting how the OL is expected to progress faster than the SSE/YNSE.

It turned out to be a fairly low-key, non-media and non-political affair — but it was still a lot of fun. Here’s a photo of me basking in the glow of it all.

Congrats! What’s the next set of TBMs called and where will they be digging? Might as well throw your hat in the ring now, you’re gonna win. 🥇

Read the post again - they said that they recovered the girder, not discovered it.

The rest were chopped up for recycling during the demolition. This one obviously has something more interesting planned for it.
