Crews are out working on the slip and the same piping being used at Quayside, along Small Street, has been installed here as well...

Waterfront Toronto has a terrible track record of this. Quayside has become Canary Landing. This bridge not only lost it's lookout points but they made it less wide so when people stop on the bridge inevitably to take pictures and look, it's going to be cramped and bikes are going to run into pedestrians. Terrible decision making to save a few bucks for something that should be built to last and support Toronto for decades to come.
Well the good news is- folks are really chill about sharing spaces with bikes, so there should never be any problems.

The lookouts are gone but I've dug into the details and the bridge deck is 4 metres wide which looks to be similar to what it was in the competition. More than enough room for people to pass others. A standard city sidewalk is 2 metres wide.

Yes! Good to see they are working their way east into the Keating Channel, they said (see back one page) that the NORTH landing for the bridge will be formed and poured "July-Sept 2026' - I think that is a bit further east into the channel than is now cleared of the old dock. I THINK that the section of the dock wall immediately west of Cherry Street is NOT public property, hope they will be dealing with that too so that the walkway on north side of Keating can be built, at some point..

Let’s grateful this isnt cancelled. Even if it’s watered down to 50% of the original plan/budget that’s a miracle coming from Waterfront Toronto. I would’ve thought this was another fantasy project

This could be in several threads but probably best here:

TLDR: Martin Goodman trail is closed from the East entrance to Merchants' Wharf to Parliament. They're moving the bus stop to west of the East Entrance to Merchants' Wharf and creating a bike lane. Martin Goodman trail and part of the boulevard are being used for staging as they begin to create the T intersection of the realigned Parliament / Queens Quay East intersection (that appears to be opening in calendar 2026 based on what I'm reading?)

Also - dock wall work will be done by early summer with the Waters Edge Promenade extension on east side of Quayside Phase 2 possibly opening by Fall 2027.

Sorry but are they saying they’re essentially going to move the bike path north by a couple feet?

Yes, temporarily.
Apparently the site isn't safe to stage everything and there's something in there about the city requesting a change of scope from WT but it didn't specify what it was.
