Yes, it clearly needs to say GO Bus but will the passage through CIBC on that level actually be open at once or is stage one only to get across Yonge. Best no specific bus signage until this bridge is best route

The bridge lands behind the lobby separated by a wall, with escalators leading down to the Bay East Teamway. CIBC Square has given this some thought. They don't want hoards of commuters walking through their lobby.

Landings on both sides of bridge are now complete. I say this opens on Monday, with remaining cleanup this weekend.

I went and looked and...

Here is the next section of the walkway (on way to bridge).

Here is the walkway view if coming FROM CIBC - it has signage to TTC, GO etc

Here is the start of the passageway going east towards CIBC - note no GO signage (as already posted) but wait...

and here is WHY there is no signage to GO - the escalators on east side of the bridge (into East Bay Teamway), are clearly not finished - I would say several weeks from it. Obviously no point sayin one can get to GO Teamway, if you can't, yet, do so.

From past experience hoarding is usually taken down a day or maybe 2 days before a space opens. Assuming it opens Monday, what is the bridge connecting to if the ground level lobby isn’t ready yet?

As far as I know and going off the blueprints, there’s no walkway between the Union and Backstage Condo bridge.

CIBC Square has opened a path from the Bus Terminal lobby (let’s call it that for the sake of distinction) to the future plaza which is still undergoing paving work.

An emergency exit was in my view the only remaining barrier to opening the bridge. This provides that. Emergency Exit signage has been added.

I got a clearer photo of the space. It does look substantially complete. The escalator steps had been finished but some are removed and being reassembled. No other work appears to be outstanding. They were there late on a Saturday night. Seems like they’re on a deadline.

The Bay East teamway still has its drywall up.

I imagine they can take that down in a day if they had to, but until this comes down, the bridge will remain closed.

Anyway, signage at Union Station says “Bridge to CIBC & Bus Terminal Opens Fall 2025”. That’s not too far from now…
…if you have a DeLorean. 🔥🔥🛞⚡

My god that map is so bad, I have a lot of negative opinions about the Union Station wayfinding but nothing makes me genuinely mad like the map does

Sometime soon I’ll have to write down the mistakes in it, i noticed like 30 when I first saw it lol

Miniso is expanding into the massive unit (94) adjacent to their current location (95 & 96) on the Market. They’ll be one of the largest retailers here when this happens

Honestly not surprised. Was in there the other day and it was pretty busy. I can totally see them justifying a bigger store.
