So you’re telling me the spandrel was supposed to be dark and the fins gold/bronze but instead they made it Toronto grey.. shocking. It has no warmth now. The contrast with the church is off being this cold grey.
...to be fair, upon closer inspection the fins are slightly more beige tinted. But that doesn't leap out at you right away....it's why I despise renders that bask the subject matter in the warm glow of the twilight hours. It obscures the charcoal hues as darker cladding, as well as the as presents the lighter protruding business as warmer brassy/champagne tones. When that's all furthest from the truth in the waking hours when all is said and done.
No, the building being put up here is nearly identical to said render. That's not in dispute. Rather the render was being disingenuous how this would look when the developer planned to go with the VE'd option of not adding any real colour to this project all the long, IMO.
