Transit Oriented Community Envisioned Around Future Woodbine GO Station | UrbanToronto
A conceptual masterplan outlines a new Transit Oriented Community centred on the Woodbine GO Station currently under construction in Etobicoke. The proposal envisions nearly 20,000 homes, parks, and mid-rise neighbourhoods on the southeastern portion of the Woodbine Racetrack lands.

Why don’t they get the developer to pay some money towards extending the Finch LRT down to Woodbine GO station with stops in this development.

With how much we build (terrible) transit for, and the current market, it would have killed any hope of this thing turning a profit. Lot easier to stick your billions with a fund manager than have the province bleed you dry while they fail to build streetcars for $200m/km

Seems a reasonable proposal near transit that will legitimately allow for car free living ..

The boards outline the noise from Pearson being a constraint. Even being outside of that, there's no way I'd want to live over there from my experience walking around there and living in *Weston*.
That said, I'm still left wondering about the restrictions at play. This map suggests that the "airport operating area" extends outside the contour, and ultimately, Pearson will be a commenting agency.
