The water is looking good again but someone thought they could barricade the entrances and take ownership of the dog park for the night. That’s a first for me.
are they going to finish covering the bottom of the pond with stones?Something caught my eye as I was perusing the 2026 City of Toronto Budget: that fits in this thread. This is capital spending, the first budget number is $1,500,000, and is for this year , with $300,000 next year.

Underground mechanical system work. When I saw the 1.8M for Love Park improvements this year, I had been hoping for the washrooms that were cut during VE'ing..... sigh.
Why does Toronto have such a problem building and maintaining 'water features'??Underground mechanical system work.
Maybe. I hope the pond is not affected. We should find out soon enough.
Water does not like being controlled. Why does Toronto have such a problem building and maintaining 'water features'??
They'll do much better with a grocery store. We have difficulty with building and maintaining the public realm in general (sadly).
