This elevated section reminds me of riding the monorail at the zoo as a child. Except higher. Child me is excited again.
Back when we could look out the front or back of trains on Line 2, I'd seen some passengers get upset travelling over the Bloor Viaduct, especially if the train stops and pauses, because they could see gaps in the boards at track level and see down to the ground, and they would ask, "Is this safe?" I agree the view on the new bridge should be breathtaking, but maybe it's not for everyone.

New CLC docs are out
I've included some other works (Walmsley Brook Crossing & Beth Nealson Underpass) that are close to the West Don Crossing

Note of interest: Pier D3 for the West Don Crossing has done it's final lift and will be getting it's pier table next.

I notice the documentation says the new bridge is being constructed north of the Leaside bridge. Both bridges actually run north to south, with the new bridge west of the existing bridge. I have to admit, with the roads running at funny angles in the area, I used to think the bridge ran east to west, and the new bridge would be going in south of the existing bridge. It appears the person writing these documents is as confused as I used to be, but sees them wrongly in the opposite direction!

So we're probably looking about twice that height + a pier table + the concrete guideway for final height, at least for this section. Since the trains will be lower than the Millwood Bridge from the Minton Portal to higher than the bridge for the elevated portion on the other side, the guideway will have to have a significant change in elevation. as it crosses the valley.
