$2B for two lanes through "downtown" Brampton is ludicrous.
The $2B is for the tunneled portion.

Without the tunnel, it would have been around $900M. I don't remember the exact number and can't find the document right this very moment.

This is what happens when you have council infighting with residents and the old guard, and projects delayed for a decade due to council being unable to delegate because of their factions.

The last figure in 2025 was $2.9 Billion From Steeles to Wellington with Wellington to Nelson being over $2 Billion. What it will be after it is tender as well when will be higher since the bidders will be dealing with ML how has a poor track recorder and hard to deal with on P3 contracts. Mobilinx will not be part of either tender considering both were part of the original tender and removed from the contract at the time of signing. How the tender will work for the 30 year contract with ML current contract will be interesting but the operation will be done by Mobilinx as an extra to the their contract.

The City of Brampton has never broken it down in writing by describing it as "From Steeles to Wellington" and "Wellington to Nelson" when it comes to the cost estimate. The cost estimate is for the entire 3.8 km length, as shown in multiple City staff reports on the City's website. Your wording is incorrect and not Brampton's.

More up on my site.

No change to King St Guideway. The north-west corner of Dundas is clear of hydro work but the north-east still in process with no one sight every time I been down there.

Track work is ready to be pour from Paisley to the first haft of the fire station/plaza driveway that will have an impact on the LRV's. With the large amount of left turns in and out of the plaza, it opens a high change of seeing accidents for that driveway regardless if signs are posted for no left turns.

A sub station is in place to the west of Hurontario on The Queensway next to the hole for the new hospital.

Starting April there will be no left turn northbound for the North Service Road area and saw no sign for southbound as I may have miss it well on the other side of the bus. The new westbound lane to the QEW is built with curb and barrier wall and ready to open once the northside is clean up and open to allow southbound traffic to be shifted right. This will allow the building of the north guideway as well the southside. The April no left turn could be for the building of the guideway across the intersection that is part of the 15 intersections still to be done. No photos for this area.

Still no work done on the east QEW bridge support that started sone months ago.

Odd they stop digging the south of Pinetree and did not bring it up to the intersection like Pinewood. There is a driveway between Pinetree and Pinewood to allow the small number of residents from a small cul-de-sac on the westside to make a left turn. Most likely not able to make an U-turn at Pinewood since the left turn southbound is on an angle.

At least 60% of the guideway between Pinewood and Mineola is ready to have the concrete base pour starting March 30 as all underground work is done with final backfilling taking place. It will be about mid April for the remaining section is ready for concrete. All the guideway curb for PC has been poured and the road paved beside it.

The guideway south of Mineola only needs a small amount of concrete poured for the centre curds and it will be 100% complete and waiting track work. The base of the station is poured as well

Part of the westside guideway is dug where it will move to the centre of the road with the base of the guideway poured except a section at Englewood that was ready for it in 2025. Based on how the road curb is poured south of the switching sides, the shifting of the southbound lane will start just south of the north end of the barrier wall with a section of the base is poured.

The northbound curb from Englewood to the north end of the plaza has been poured and road pave. As it stands, there will be three lanes with a single lane of traffic in both direction from the north of the road shifting to the south side of Englewood where the guideway leaves the road. The centre lane will be use for left turning only.

No change south of Englewood for the guideway and sidewalk since 2025

Crew working in the centre of Hurontario St for hydro work from the substation.

Saw no new work for the south entrance but the south end of the south entrance is trap and looks like brick work maybe taking place.

There were not fooling around with the guideway work north of Mineola since the end of February that any lost time due to weather has been made up or is off a few weeks at this time

The width of the Mary Fix Creek to the New spillway as well how deep it is below the base of it that any flooding at the south end is non existing in a 100 year flood.
