Still can’t get over how strange this location is. This plan would be much better suited for the North Hill mall site or Brentwood park and ride where the LRT is immediately adjacent.
I find it strange only in that my driving-wired brains think this area of Kensington is a dead-end and no one goes there. But that's just the trappings of a limited mindset engrained by decades of driving nearby on a ugly car sewer that is 14th Street NW.

It's 300m from SAIT LRT just up the hill and across the street from one of Calgary's best urban parks. Dozens of shops and services within a ten minute walk. Yes, even closer to stuff would be great - but we all like West District and University District and those both might as well be on the moon in relative remoteness compared to this site.

The distance to the SAIT LRT is hard to visualize, but walking by the location, it is much closer than it seems on a map, and the grade less steep. They really need to redo 14 St. It doesn't need to be anything fancy, but more separation is needed between sidewalk and traffic. There's no street parking, so there's zero buffer between the tiny sidewalk in many spots and cars going 60+. They should redesign the street, but in the short term I wouldn't mind fencing of some sort like they do in Hong Kong, where the sidewalk is narrow and cars are nearby.
