I doubt it. It barely obstructs the view anymore than any other tall building.

I concur. Not only the extra cost, but also the hassle of lining up for another elevator (twice, up and down) and the cramped conditions of the Skypod due to its small size. Not worth it just to be able to look down on SkyTower.

You can see from this great photo, how silly the mechanical box is going to look sticking out from the roof.
Very bad decision by Pinnacle to not extend to glass upwards from the crown to cover it up.

Better than just leaving the mechanical boxes unfinished, at least it's resolved into the form of the tower from the south view.
