I will be the first to give Truman all the credit in the world for what they are building, but man do they ever suck with heritage preservation. How many heritage buildings have they knocked down without even a hint of preservation, or at the least, incorporating a facade. Off the top of my head there is this one (Gresham), the three story apartment block building in the belt line, and the commercial building that 1st and 10th is being built on. They can do better but they choose not too.

In all fairness, the Gresham building was quite dilapidated and was to the point of being condemned.
True, but unfortunately the real problem is property owners who deliberately let their buildings fall into disrepair so that they have an excuse to tear them down. It's much too easy to demolish a building of heritage value.

If Gresham was maintained over the years it would still be standing, that building was in terrible shape though!

I wonder if a grocery store is still in the cards for the new build.

Inglewood could probably support an urban format grocer similar to the Save On in the Beltline.
Not only has the neighborhood population been increasing, but there is a fair bit of drive by traffic heading from DT to Blackfoot/Deerfoot.

The population has barely increased. So few apartments and townhomes developments, I do not imagine the community can support a grocery-anchor tenant yet. Will need to see more residential density to support it i would imagine with EV Superstore.

A grocery store in Inglewood's not quite there yet, but I don't think it's too far off. They do get a fair amount of transit traffic, and it's busy as a destination neighborhood. Two or three good sized multi-family builds and it might be enough.

A grocery store in Inglewood would be huge, Inglewood and Ramsay are both without currently. Doesn't need to be a full size store, but should carry most essentials.
