According to RENX (https://renx.ca/the-laurels-is-first-of-three-fall-condo-launches-for-mattamy), construction of building 4 is anticipated to start in April 2025.

Additionally, the Town is looking at:
  1. Increasing the separation distances between proposed buildings and the properties along Aymond Crescent;
  2. Enhancing landscaping along the northern property line;
  3. Reducing and/or redistributing the height and floor area of proposed buildings; and
  4. Reorienting proposed buildings further west and south on the subject lands.
Which was discussed at a recent council meeting on December 9th.

Following the changes requested by the town (see above comment) being brought up with Mattamy Homes, Mattamy has made some minor adjustments to the plan for phase 3 of Clockwork (buildings 4, 5, and 6). Bulding 5 (the 7 storey) had its length reduced by 6.3m on the east side, resulting in building 6 increasing in size to maintain the GFA of the entire phase. Additionally, landscaping has been improvement on the north side of the site, between building 5 and the SFHs right north of it, with proposed additional height on fencing between the two sites and trees for privacy. The letter from Mattamy to the town regarding these changes can be found here.

Well this is sad to see... an updated Site Plan Submission from this month shows that the amenity lawn has been removed and replaced with surface parking (similar to the park that was initially proposed in Oakville Yards, just a little west of this one), in addition to a bunch more parking all around the loop in the middle:

There is also some (incredibly) minor changes to the elevation plans.

The site for building 4 (which was used as a building 3 construction staging area) has been cleared, some gravel has been placed on site, and a tent with chairs and tables has been setup. Looks like a groundbreaking ceremony...

The only thing to 100% confirm its a groundbreaking are excavators on site, which I assume will come soon (sometime later this week?).

Its a bit confusing though, since I can't find any issued permits for the site and I highly doubt Mattamy has been able to sell the required amount of units.

Update: The tent was removed today, guess there won't be a groundbreaking just yet (unsurprisingly). Wonder what event was held here though...

Clockwork 4 has officially been cancelled (for now) due to lack of sales.
Last week, the company informed staff and customers that the Clockwork 4 project in Oakville (143 units and the fourth tower in the project) was cancelled due to low sales and financing conditions. The other three towers are not affected.
The policies will offer Mattamy Homes the chance to “re-envision” the Clockwork 4 Project, with the company remaining optimistic it will build on this site in the coming years.
