I haven't posted here in years...but this is from today, off me's nice to post here knowing this proposal is now truly being built, even with a watered down design. Apologies for all the images, I ended up finding a few angles of this.

Oh I'm aware this is no small school. I attended it shortly after it was rebuilt....the retention of some heritage features is impressive and should be retained in consideration of further talks beween parties regardign the future of this site and adjoining property. A swapping of property would...

Good blows my mind to think that those townhomes would be gone. The only reason why is because well...a 30+ floor tower directly south of a schoolyard is inane. Considering the school is only 20-21 years old and already at capacity (not that they would've realized that at the time of...

Not very enthusiastic about this proposal...but I mean, with some revisions I can let it pass. It is aggressive.....that's for sure. Frankly, losing a Home Hardware in the area will be inconvenient, but hopefully they find a location nearby to move to.

I'm not a fan of how much this proposal simplifies the built form in the's much more of a big block development which removes the finer grain sense on this street. (Not exactly fine grain, but less wide development replaced by a massive project*) The height is fine, though I hope to...

It's not ugly...but it's sure as hell not the prettiest thing around. Looks cookie cutter to me....bland if you will.

This looks like it could be very very a render the building looks fine but execution concerns me.

Even if it is...I'm confused. This is a similar project in some ways to said centre, but this is being built in a fully urban area...there's much more planning and a larger site to work with as well. And of course, this is over 40 years after said centre was built. Maybe the commentor dislikes...

Noooo! Come on!! I loved this building it's such a well put together facade. This is inane.

    1381 Lakeshore East (Mississauga/Lakeview, 8 & 15s, City Park Group)

That's ridiculous. This area is perfect for more density....8 and 15 floors isnt exactly that substantial. I'm disappointed in the council...the townhouse block being built near Dundas n Hurontario is another project which is wholly inappropriate for it's site...I hope this doesn't become 2...

TTC Headquarters Redevelopment 1900 Yonge (City of Toronto, ?s, ?)

The existing building is rather attractive, but obviously it's a different taste for architecture. I think it'd be unfortunate to fully demolish the building, but we'll see what they plan here.

Wow...that propsed entrance is awful. Yes, keep the doors! I gotta say...I'm not very happy woth the way the tower is with respects to the church, but I'm probably a minority who feel that way.

Yea...I passed by on the bus earlier. The cladding, while not terrible...makes a simple design on the towers floorplate look that much busier. The balconies aren't half bad though...not white, but not bad. I'll provide a good hearty update tomorrow...
