    With such a tight space, the excavation looks like a logistical nightmare compared to Phase I. It's almost like they're uncovering the core from the dirt, like an archaeological dig.

    Not that soon. The connection first needs to pass through Phase 3 of One Yonge before it can get to Sky Tower, and that won't be under construction for quite a while. See here for a bit of discussion on this.

    There is -- but in this report from last year, it says that "The suitability of the above-grade PATH connection relative to the City's public realm objectives for the waterfront area" is an issue yet to be resolved. Maybe the lobbying is related to that.
