Are you letting us know in advance that you’re going to be taking some? Exciting!

Sometimes these projects are UC for so long that I forget that one day we'll be able to spend time here as opposed to just admire from a distance. It's already so breathtaking, I can't wait to experience it in its final form.

    Pickering Town Centre Redevelopment

Some news (or not) on this one. Lots of recommendations coming, as expected since they changed plans. Taken from the City’s website.

    Toronto | Universal City Condos (Pickering) | 173.15m | 54s | Chestnut Hill | Kirkor Architects

What isn’t so accurate though is the grass and tree filled median on the 401. Or the forest in place of surface parking lots surrounding the Pickering Town Centre. LOL Nonetheless, I’m excited to see the real thing be constructed — that height in this area is going to be “WOW”, until other...

    Pickering Town Centre Redevelopment

I find it very unexpected given the architects had detailed designs for those community spaces including floor/wall/ceiling finishes, millwork, furniture and fixtures. Plus, in their last meeting public meeting with the City they name dropped some of their suppliers for the furnishings. The...

    Pickering Town Centre Redevelopment

An update, but not much information explaining the change in phasing, reduction (I think) in commercial/retail, and the scrapping of the performing arts centre, and I think Y/S Centre and Library. Nonetheless, if they’re still in the program the Architecture has changed dramatically since the...

Thank you for correcting me. I should have looked at the thread closer before commenting. Hence my complete and utter confusion about the City’s ideas; but for once it is not them, but I. 😳

Why should the owner contribute anything toward the Bentway project at Lower Simcoe? This site is over 1.3km from that location. I think it would be more productive to connect the St. Lawrence neighborhood to the Lakeside, and vice versa.

NL you’re really stretching our imagination on this one — nonetheless, much obliged for the update.

Wow! I didn’t know any of this. Thanks for the insight — I wasn’t expecting such a wealth of knowledge on this topic. It’s at times like this that I really enjoy this forum.

I’m curious to know where the soil goes from this project. Do ‘they’ still dump soil out on the Leslie Spit?

Pulling these forward from the survey. I think it’s great to see a design that’s more substantial than a typical grey aluminum bus shelter. I’m really enjoying the fins on this design. It’s lending itself well to the proposed new buildings at the Pickering Town Centre. Photos below for...

    Toronto | VuPoint Condos | 172.1m | 53s | Tribute | IBI Group

I just learned today in the Accessibility Advisory meeting that this proposal includes 5 levels of underground parking, 5 levels of parking in the podium above the retail/townhouse units, and additional commercial parking at grade at ‘back’ of the site. I’m stunned hearing this given its...

    Pickering Town Centre Redevelopment

Future block phases can be seen here, as part of the Functional Servicing Report. I would have to disagree with you slightly on the 417m2 park though. It acts as a through pedestrian connection to what will be the main entrance to the remaining Pickering Town Centre, and is part of the...

    Pickering Town Centre Redevelopment

I was doing some development browsing today and came across some new docs up for this project. Northern Light, I think you’ll be happy to see what they’re proposing here. I have to say, I’m quite surprised to see a master plan of...

One humble cell pic from Mary & Bond. The precast cladding looks great! Also, the scale of this (especially the retail base) is really huge for Oshawa. I didn’t realize until I saw it in person today.

    Toronto | 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

Some questionable choices were made in the render that I didn’t notice before. Simcoe as a one way street. Since when? No right handed turn? “Convention Centre North” signage — pointing literally in the opposite direction it should be. (and directed agains supposedly “one-way” traffic) 🤨🤔...
