ahh, looks like they panned that glass area in the RF corner. it was on the renderings, then nothing announced and now on this pic there's just nothing there lol.

i wish they'd fill in the corners at BMO Field. it would look more complete.

during the world cup? I would assume GO would definitely be running shuttles. I also assume that parking lot won't have any room for parking after dignitaries, busses, and International Broadcaster booths, and fan activation zones. lots of assumptions i'm making but i think this will be a...

they absolutely cannot play in Montreal.

oh you're right. upon looking at the rendering, i meant in the right field corner to the right of the bullpen. there looks to be a party suite there or something.

i know they announced all their new social spaces this past weekend but has anyone heard about what's underneath the new raised bullpens? is that just a party suite you can book? I can see a glass wall in the renderings.

i went to the new warriors arena and it was awful. it felt like going to the new yankee stadium. just stale and corporate and overdone.

Scotiabank arena isn't going anywhere. that location is unbeatable. that one is staying forever like MSG

multipurpose stadiums are awful. their only benefit is they can hold a multitude of events and provide an acceptable experience. i'd rather a single purpose stadium that provides an exceptional experience. that being said, i wouldn't be surprised if they build out bmo the way they have been...

i don't think that's true. the 500 level seats and the 100 level seats are the same with the exception a few seats behind the dish with cushions in the 100 and 200 level....unless you're talking about putting a Rogers Centre Sticker over the SkyDome sticker as an update?

the big problem for me here is it's literally at Yonge & Bloor where 2 major retail streets intersect and 2 major subway lines intersect. This is the place where you approve height increases. it's here, this very spot.

this is so flawed. the design is nice but it's right next to the LRT so i can't understand the parking situation. We boast about the need to intensify but you can't keep intensifying with this car focus. 708 units and 858 parking spots and only 366 bike parking? that's ridiculous. i hope...

i would LOVE if Yonge street was pedestrianized. it's got the density for it.

i wonder what the repercussions are for this. I imagine there's a penalty though it's not clear. I had a feeling since 2020 they weren't going to move in there. with their hybrid WFH model, their existing space is now good enough with some light renos. The tech crash seems like it was icing...

i can't imagine underground parking being that close to the lake a good idea. when i lived at NXT (103 & 105 The Queensway), our parking had 4 levels underground and was leaking like crazy and needed major major repairs. coincidentally, all the other condos around our build had above grade...

i'm not a fan of this for the obvious popular reasons but aside from that, i don't like all the concrete walkways, it seems barren to me. I get there's a lot of foliage on the sides but all the renders show some pretty low ground cover and shrubs. I'd like to see more of a forest vibe with...

great shot. i miss eating at Hue's. i liked it there. I miss Roy Square even more. I like 1BE but i also think Toronto needs more pedestrian lanes with little cafes and eateries.

shitty question, but what happens with the outhouse that high up? do they empty it from there with a pump or do they just send the whole thing down with a crane and a new one up? I work in marketing in an office and have zero experience with construction or outhouses. I wonder about these things!

or live in condos. you can easily prep and make serious high quality meals for families. all the counter things (aside from a coffee maker) are gimmicks. you don't need a stand mixer, you don't need a deep fryer, a bread maker, a food processor. You can buy a small hand emulsion blender...
