A couple of hours later the first of the glazing appears... and let me tell you, it's even worse in person 😬

And lastly, from today, still brought to you by my new S23 Ultra (still wish I was sponsored, pretty please Samsung?). Starting from the east side and moving to the south/south-west side. The last picture tries to show the ramp that will eventually be the entry-level road for the towers and...

    Toronto | CG Tower | 188.97m | 60s | Cortel Group | BDP Quadrangle

From today, still brought to you by my new S23 Ultra (still wish I was sponsored). "Brick" cladding is going on around the top of the podium. I'm personally colour-blind so take this with a grain of salt... It looks bland and greyed out in person.

From today, brought to you by my new S23 Ultra (still wish I was sponsored). First 3 pictures taken from the same spot. 2nd and 3rd were taken with the 10x telephoto lens.

From today, brought to you by my new S23 Ultra (wish I was sponsored). 2nd and 3rd images were taken from the same spot. One with the main lens, and the other with the 3x telephoto.

Due to how the supports work, there is a floor with no corner columns every 5 (ish) floors. The floors just below the start of new V columns (sorry, I don't know the terminology) don't need vertical supports because theoretically, V holds up said floor/ceiling. Not sure if that made any sense...

Yup, 1 crane here. Rest of VMC only has 6 total right now (5 @ Festival, 1 @ CG Tower)

That's the rest of the bullpen. The platform is just the 2 pitching areas, the players for the most part will be underneath.

I've rotated the birds-eye view photo from the previous post, and it definitely matches the 'master plan' seen in the docs for the 6-storey 'office' building proposed. I've never seen this view of the site before. Very curious to see how this progresses in the future (and the # of parking spaces...

A good portion of this has been changed by now. The Office/hotel has been cancelled (or pushed way into the future), and the 'future retail' in front of the renovated main entrance has been switched into a 6-storey office building and a green space.

Mostly done with the podiums for the first 2 towers, so they should really start rising in the new year. Looking forward to seeing how different these look with their girthy floorplates compare to CG Tower's slender and tapered profile. It should be a fun next year in the VMC

These pictures remind me a lot of the concourse at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit

    Toronto | Transit City Condos: TC4 & TC5 | 174.34m | 50s | SmartCentres | Diamond Schmitt

From earlier this afternoon. Once I got home, I realized my camera settings were a bit wonky (and by my camera, I mean my dad's). Sorry for the less than stellar quality photos. The curved glass on the podium for the 50 storey one, is phenomenal. The podiums actually look really nice up close...

    Toronto | VMC Block 4S | 184m | 55s | QuadReal

Apologies if this thread already exists (I did look for one, but I am no Scooby Doo) This was in Vaughan council meeting docs from earlier this week. It's 2 towers, and 1 two storey podium (connected to another tower by a five storey podium), for block 4S in VMC, which is directly south-west of...

A few more floors of glazing and we'll have the whole CN tower reflection. From a couple minutes ago.

Alright, this might be a stupid question, but I will ask nonetheless. Are different types of concrete used for different parts of the tower? Like floor plates vs. elevator core vs. floor corners vs. mega column filler etc? Thanks in advance to whoever answers!

    Toronto | Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

Really wish we had way to see this view but 10 years ago to see all the changes in the frame. Most of the buildings over 15 storeys are from the last decade at this angle. Crazy

    Toronto | Promenade Mall Revitalization | ?m | 35s | Liberty Development | WZMH

New items in PlanIt for a 6 storey office building on what is currently surface parking on the east side (Bathurst St.) of the mall. Renderings and other docs are up online, but here are some screenshots of it. Re-orienting of the perimeter mall road (Promenade circle), as well as some of the...

From the Jays website. Obviously just for next season as the 100L infield is the same. Of note, the outfield wall looks slightly different in left field vs. right field. Eventually, we'll get dimensions, but the left field power alley specifically looks pretty short. Raised walls will attempt to...
