    I've heard that perhaps hiring was put on hold... I have a buddy at CP with 3 years on conductor experience that, I kid you not... got declined immediately, apparently only 1 person from that info session was hired...

    Ever since the KCS merger came into the news you dont see as many trains on the Galt between Guelph Junction and west toronto... mactier is still pretty busy

    Though with the amount of freight traffic the Galt sees these days I would certainly be inclined to think it's a passenger only route

    Also the collector at Kennedy going east... if you are in the right most lane you have to do 3 lanes switches left to stay on

    Keep in mind, when I saw 206 at mac (I had to move it from R yard cause we can't hump passenger coaches) the A end was facing north/east, so it will need to be wyed at some point. It was also pain to move since you can't ride it since metrolinx removed the stur ups and handles on the outside...

    Are they planning of adding CTC to track 4 eventually and extending that to CN Peel and keeping future track 5 as rule 105 or just just keeping both as a 105 lead

    So why it remains 45 mph (on my timetable it shows up as a PSO still) even though I think it can accommodate 60-70mph?

    OMG WHY DID CP BUILT THROUGH GREEN BELT GRRRRRR. In all seriousness, operationally, CTC ends north of Bolton and its all single track ABS/OCS dark territory control to Mactier. I don't think we will see more than a handful of trains north of Bolton IF we are lucky enough to get trains to Bolton

    Yeah that's about mile 58 on the Guelph Sub and as far as I know the only bridge there...

    Are you sure about that? Major upgrades would need to be done to the Fergus spur... at the current moment it's single track R105 territory with 10/15 mph maximum speed. And per some old ETTs the maximum speed was 20-30 mph with OCS (dark territory mainline) At the current moment the Galt sub...

    Haha yeah I've seen this too now In all seriousness... don't ride the outside. I've been professionally trained on riding rail cars on the outside and if you don't know what you are doing you'll get hurt very badly...

    Noooooo now I can't ride the coach on the outside... Actually they would probably be as bad to ride as a loaded lumber car... I've never liked riding those...

    Maybe short staffed but seeing as they aren't hiring qualified conductors that have applied I'm guessing they don't really need people now as urgently
