    Gives me "Nobu" vibes!

If that lime green insulation (?) was the final cladding this would have been so cool! It looks really good to me.

I kinda agree. Right now, as has been already mentioned by a couple of posters, from the south, it looks fat. In addition those two maws and that cut out corner on the south-east look awkward, to me at least. Sometimes less is more! In an effort to make an architectural statement you get...

I think it's just the perspective! The photo seems to have been taken from below so the balcony divider seems higher at the front when in fact it's level and not tilted at all. It's just an optical illusion.

There must have been some mistake! Looks like the glazing from Nobu ended up here by error!

I still think it's just another stubby glass box, viewed from a distance and that toothpick, thingy attachment does nothing to enhance said structure. The podium on the other hand is very nice, so colour me ambivalent on this build.

What I'd like to know is, why I've never seen people using that pool area in all those pictures that Benito has posted. A question for Benito: have you ever seen that BE terrace being used??

Compared to "Dundas Square Gardens", also by Gupta, this is fantastic, also much better then some of the buildings in the heart of Yorkville! I'd give this building a solid 8 out of 10 for quality of exterior!

The two Ice towers would have to be in the running for me. The two swiss cheese style rooftops are so unique that to me they qualify as works of art!

Can someone explain to me why tying all that rebar together, undoubtedly massive amounts of man-hours to do so, is more economic than using just steel beams? In NYC most of the new skyscrapers seem to be steel beam construction. The transfer slab here in particular was insane amounts of rebar...

So which "The One", would you rather live in and which in fact is the real "One"?? https://www.cnbc.com/video/2017/09/27/americas-most-expensive-home-is-a-mind-blowing-500-million-bel-air-mansion.html

Looks to be taken from about the 20th floor (88 Scott St)? In about a year that little sliver of lake view will be gone! Sorry Ryan :-) !

With the Gardiner shut down for maintenance and no sign of human life, that first picture looks almost post apocalyptic or post pandemic. Maybe in a year or so, after the delta, gamma, lambda and and other so called varients finish with us or is it when those wonderful vaxes and their...

All we need is Bo Derek emerging from that pool and a good picture would have become great! Aging myself with that comment, 😆 .

Toronto Toronto | Scotiabank North Tower at Bay Adelaide Centre | 140.2m | 32s | Brookfield | KPMB

Sorry can't agree with you here! This sucks big time! No thought put into the architecture of this building whatsoever. I can't think of too many projects, including 401 Bay, that UT'ers love to rip that are worse than this banal piece of $hit! Nice glass, gimme a break!

Well I've been a member for more than a decade and still considered a New Member! I guess because I can't be bothered fighting with the mods and all the other politically correct members who think that central Toronto is the be all and end all of the universe! I can almost taste the contempt for...

Hell! It seems that they have only one form for the super columns (moving it around after each pour cures) and it only partially covers them when filled. At this rate the building should be finished by, hmmm, 2033?

These comments regarding the reclad of the Simpson's tower as well as comments of a similar nature of various other buildings are both tiresome and annoying. They remind me of what childhood bullies act like. Pile on, the nerd can't defend himself! In defense of the reclad, as a backdrop, it...

As opposed to whom? Our great friend and benefactor, the US? George Bush and the WMDs, Vietnam, the Middle East and probably a dozen other countries they've meddled in and continue to do so even today. Our good friends, who bully us when convenient with their tariffs and talk of tariffs by the...
