It's either they close the airport or they make a new island, to not have a connection to the islands is crazy, why cant you have one channel to have tall boats/ships to come in and the other channel to not have those boats is crazy to me, 20 years down the road they are going to say wow why...

Do not allow this 1st they changed the design to minimize the river coming into the community now they want more density. Ridiculous the design now is just basic for the most part, could of been something special here another GTA failure I believe.

Are you serious, I am sick and tired of projects like that being turfed because of a handful of residents, when yet it was millions of GTA residents that will be enjoying this area not just them. It's ridiculous.

Is this section just going to be an open square of some kind or are they putting a building beside the tracks? Also any completion date yet, it would be nice to walk the are in July/August at least.

Still wish the roofs were not rounded and were standard roofs like the St.Lawrence Hall building with the clock. But yes either way it's going to look nice.

This portion of road beside the yellow bridge, I am curious how much of this will they remove, so that the lake does not enter into that area to the right. Are they using walls of some kind, so that when they are ready they would lift the walls and let the water in?

I have driven through that west Mississauga section 3 times in the last week in a half and I am shocked that they would put any part of the 401 down to 2 lanes. Am I wrong in saying this? The back up was crazy on Sunday.

I was wondering how much earth do they need to leave at the mouth of the river so that it can still hold back the lake water. Would it be similar to the amount that was left at the don river/keating channel area. Is that how that whole process works.

Regardless of how many ferries they buy or how fast they are you still have to pay to go on them. A beautiful walking bridge like the design being proposed would be ideal for all of Toronto and Ontarians. Again the airport is in the way to be able to offer a more affodable bridge option but...

Kick the airport off the Toronto Island's and build a cheaper bridge at the western channel. That would be the most ideal spot.

I hope that Centre st. is going to be a lively spot with cafe's, shops, restaurants etc. With the bridge delay you have to wonder at what point are they going to need to order the New Munition St. bridge, probably not for a long time still I would assume.

Anyone know if the east bound 401 past conestoga college and coming up to the King st exit are they going to be building a flyover for people wanting to get onto the Kitchener highway 7/8.

It's been a long time since they flew their drone to video the construction status, you would think with such a high profile project they would do it every 3 months or something. I like watching those videos gives good overview of the status.

That is unfortunate this is the design they should have gone with, would have been spectacular.
