    Brampton Transit/Zum

Bramalea terminal is not that old, (what 10, 12 years?) yet it seems like it is frequently needing major repairs multiple times already.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

A hand or arm may prevent a door from fully closing, but something smaller, like a piece of clothing can be trapped and still make it appear as closed to the system. I often read RAIB reports from the UK, and item trapped in door, dragging a passenger for some distance is fairly common. I...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Morning Star was a left exit northbound. The left exit was signalized at the southbound lanes. Northbound had no lights because the lanes just continued on. Traffic from Morning Star could only go southbound.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

A little bit of weirdness going on the TTC twitter service account today, mentioning Line 5, probably testing out alerts. Which have since vanished.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Weekend trips pre-covid have been done have been done to Brampton before, I think mostly for Labour Day weekends to the CNE. But well...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

New systems funding shouldn't be tied to having to adopt to Presto, but it should at least be accepted if your system intersects with an existing system that accepts Presto. Presto is far from perfect, but as someone that used multiple systems on most days, it's way better than having to worry...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I have noticed that exit numbers are inconsistent, even on highways that recently got exit numbers (ie 410 some of them are numbered, some aren't, even exits recently built/rebuilt)

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

My complaints about Pearson are it's like ages from the plane to customs at least when coming from the US. We came in a flight last month, very late, around midnight, several hours late (departing airport's problems) and it was a long time to walk from the plane and the first and only washroom...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

It's because they changed the lane pattern between Steeles and Queen when they added the HOV lane in. In the past you had the ramp from Steeles Eastbound that went straight and exited at Queen, and the ramp from Steeles Westbound continued right to exit at Clark. Meaning no lanes were lost. Now...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

    http://www.ttc.ca/News/2021/September/24_09_21NR_presto_screens.jsp Can I say finally?

    VIA Rail

British National Rail still operates their request stops on making your intent clear to the approaching train, which is just wave. And it's rather unusual if you want to get off from the train. The driver will stop at request stops unless the conductor sends a signal to skip, which only happens...

    GTHA Transit Fare Integration

But, every GTA transit agency outside of the TTC is already somewhat integrated, they all accept transfers from each other, and have cofares with GO. I've avoided routes on the TTC to pay less via Brampton and YRT. From this perspective, it seems like TTC is the one holdout, especially since...

    TTC: Easier Access Phase III

Wow both of those stations look great. Keele does look out of place compared to the rest of the station, but it still looks nice. Chester has that sort of rustic look.

    TTC: Easier Access Phase III

According to the TTC website, currently VP has 3 regular bus routes (plus 1 community, and 1 cancelled express) and Warden has 9.

    Brampton Transit/Zum

Probably not until York U resumes on campus learning, which the earliest would be September, at this time.

    TTC: Easier Access Phase III

I don't think the TTC would want a publicly accessible elevator that can access an area not open to the public.

Bramalea Road EA (City of Brampton)

There isn't much that can be done without having to go through a building in the area or forcing the rail spur against Orenda. Oddly enough, they did realign the spur by several metres to fit in the Zum stop when they built it, but it's a barely noticeable kink.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

It's because there's virtually nothing between highway 50 and highway 27 in that stretch, around 2-3km of nothing to serve with a bus. Neither system probably wants a route through what is currently nowhere.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

Before YRT shifted away from York U proper, I would take Brampton Zum and then YRT into North York via Steeles where possible to avoid paying a double fare. I still did it after they moved off campus, but via Highway 7. But I had to plan it to catch a bus that was only like once every 50 minutes.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown Line 5 West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Hydro lines cross Eglinton on either side of the 427, you have to take both in account, to thread a line below both sets, and over the 427.
