How does the Path connection to CIBC Square work? Its a pretty big difference . . .

    Toronto Toronto | Yorkdale Shopping Centre | ?m | ?s | Oxford Properties | MMC Architecture

The amount of space closed off right now is crazy. I really wish it would make Yorkdale and Eaton consider offering a bit more than just shopping (Yorkdale does seem to have more restaurants than it used to but nothing compared to malls internationally). I really wonder about the pretty early...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I mean it's just a case of not using the gates in a reasonable way that definitely worsens flow. Obviously expansion is generally also needed. Using the gates the way they are intended shouldn't require a pilot (and we are still not doing it right)

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

TTC was supposed to install it's new wayfinding measures at Dundas, it has mostly not done so https://x.com/RM_Transit/status/1719115568954171706?s=20

    GO Transit Electrification (Metrolinx, Proposed)

Of course there is. But passenger coaches have lots of this stuff too . . . It's silly to even debate EMUs over whether they are too loud for passengers from North America where we don't really use EMUs much less modern ones (CalTrains are basically the only exception)! Europeans and Asians...

    TTC: Sheppard Subway Extension (Proposed)

Idk about that, as you know I am a huge supporter of this project but, 4 car TRs ~100m at 40tph or even 32tph are a ton of capacity, I would prioritize frequency over train length for a line like this too where a lot of connections are likely to be made. I do not see the need for 6 car sets -...

    Hamilton Toronto | Hamilton LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I will say the lack of a super short connection to West Harbour is very annoying - with service getting better and better it sucks that getting that done is going to require a whole process and probably (as ridiculous as it is) several years of additional waiting

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I figure with Stouffville and Kitchener line progress where they are we could see half hourly through running service concurrently with Eglinton opening which would be really nice.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown Line 5 West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Eglinton will have ATC and could have PSDs if that decision was made. Might even be easier because the platforms are not cantilevered because they are so short.

    GO Transit Electrification (Metrolinx, Proposed)

EMUs do not have "engines" they have motors, and they are generally not noticeably loud and certainly not going to generate huge vibration. The subway trains are EMUs. Tons of long distance services around the world, including most HSR services are EMUs.

    Mississauga Toronto | Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

The real explosion in development at MCC supposedly happened after the data had been run for Hurontario. It's comparisons mostly, look at the ridership on the SkyTrain in Surrey for example, Mississauga is going to exceed Surrey on basically every metric! The city has like 2x the population...

You're bio says "Miss where cars rule city growth" but the stuff you are saying doesn't sound like it's pushing for anything that's a substantial divergence from the status quo. Trams for Miss are not going to generate substantial modal shift, they will mostly be carrying existing bus riders...

    Mississauga Toronto | Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

To add to that, here is a city a fraction of the size of Miss. with a subway on the other side of the country . . . https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10059836&postcount=1928 Picture Extracted:

    Mississauga Toronto | Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

High capacity rapid transit? Metro Vancouver has many tower clusters smaller than this one with SkyTrain. It's obvious this level of density, the massive planned density, and the majorly busy existing bus terminals at MCC and Gateway justify way more than Finch West! For serving MCC there are a...

    Mississauga Toronto | Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

It's really so disappointing how ALL of this density will mostly be served PT wise by a SINGLE surface tram line!

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I really hope the other platform gets a similarly nice canopy, super to happy to see these at all new stations. It improves the waiting experience in bad weather a lot. That being said with all this good work happening I would love more . . . timelines and commitments on better service from...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

34 trains is huge that's over 200 cars! I really think the Sheppard West to Wilson yard option is compelling. It allows trains to serve Yonge North, and provides for much improved service as well.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Good to see that the PEDs are still in the plan, provisioning for Line 2 is wise as well. I hope this becomes the status quo for any major station overhaul from here on out.
