    Niagara Falls Toronto | The Niagara (Phase 3) | ?m | 3s | M5V Developments | Organica

I agree with your principles, however in this proposal specifically, the parking in the middle could be redeloped into additional townhouses or even a small midrise condo/rental unit.

In regards to the parking, it may be a little excessive, however I will just play Devils advocate for a minute. This is not proposed in urban Toronto, it's being proposed in Niagara Falls which currently does not have incredible Transit services nor does it have 15 minute land use currently...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I wonder if this project will grade separate the CPR crossing at Locust Hill. Currently a very limited rail crossing, however it has the potential of being extremely busy with VIA's HxR and any potential GO Peterborough service.

A rose between 2 thorns, lol?

It may not be the best fit, but I have always wondered if Simons has considered the Sears space at the Oshawa Centre. I have been surprised in that space sitting empty with no proposed redevelopment for so long.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

There is an Arby's at the corner of Taunton and Ritson in North Oshawa. I also wonder about the lack of locations in the GTA

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

In the Retail Insider article it is suggested that other fast food places may be currently doing this, albeit quietly on the down low. Wendy's was just the first to publicly announce it.

Niagara Falls Exchange: Cultural Hub & Farmers' Market (2s, DTAH)

I wonder if this will be well attended by the tourists, or just be a little known gem only locals frequent?

    Durham Region Transit / Pulse

I have noticed that the TTC loaners have covered up Presto readers, and therefore free trips for all passengers on that bus. I'm curious who if anyone covers the revenue shortfall?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Government always going with the lowest bidder isn't always the best option. There are other non monetary costs choosing the cheapest option. Reminds me of fast cheap and correct. Each option you can only choose 2. Fast and cheap won't be correct, cheap and correct will not be fast and fast...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I believe the bridge will be temporary. The final GO/Ontario Line Station building will have it's own conveyance between tracks and entrance/exits

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I don't think ML is broke, it just likely has a mandate to lower or eliminate government subsidies. Every dollar earned from an ad is a dollar less the Provincial government has to spend subsidizing GO operations.

As a Metrolinx employee, I find it extremely hard to be silent with some insider information. One always wants to share in exciting news, but understand the limitations.

I was just going to say, it's not a Metrolinx project, so we should be good on that front, lol

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I'll be the troll that gives Transurban ideas. Tunneled Spadina Expressway completion. 😁 Just kidding, but I could see it as a possibility considered by the Ford Government.

Toronto Toronto | The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini This article is almost polar opposite of the general consensus here. I'm pretty sure the article represents a minority though.

    Uxbridge Provincial Park

I am surprised with the lack of privately run transitory camp sites in Ontario. (ie KOA) There are many privately run campgrounds however they mostly cater to the seasonal semi permanent trailer lot market, not the one or two overnight market.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I have heard GO Transit's biggest complaint recieved lately is Station building hours.. I understand management is planning improvement, however there might be constraints in the current fiscal year budget to man the additional hours. The new fiscal year begins in April so changes may begin then.
