Who needs script writing when real life is so easy to simulate a great new movie!

Fogo De Chao is definitely gone. Fell through. They also lost their deposit. Ideally, moving forward the current renter (JLL) is looking for an upscale restaurant to fill the spot.

That's the all important missing information. Did they actually have the auction? Or delay it some more for reasons unknown?

& I thought it was going to be a BMO! We both got fooled! 😂 I also thought the Beer Store was originally planned for the right hand side, once they are finally done using the space for construction storage. (it does not have a for lease sign in the window currently...)

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

I like Dollarama, but I believe they have no excuse for not (at least) selling (a small bag of) powdered milk. The new No Name store just might do that...

I'm still waiting to see what will occupy the space on the ground level on the left hand side. I'm surprised it's not yet another Tim Horton's...with the excuse that the gas station TH is "too busy". 😆

THIS, all very good. A Medical centre would be smart to fill some space, along with SDM, working together. The theatre needs to be at it's best, comfortable seats, better washroom (than they have currently) and all. Good to see Hudson's Bay and Dollarama. More well known stores need to find...

...but when does that new Brazilian AYCE restaurant finally open? I'm looking forward to Toronto having competition to Rodeo and Copa.

WHAT??? I thought The Bay wanted to keep their Eglinton square store open as a Bay clearance centre!!

    Woodbine Centre

As a very basic example, it depends on the leasing arrangement of the Bay. A contract (lease agreement) is a contract. If they want to close and tear down the Bay this instant (after the winning bid) then the new owner will be responsible for paying for The Bay (& others) to relocate...unless...

Not a bad way to think, but also, a few condos on the land would be smart as it secures retail business with higher traffic potential...of people who are there anyway. Sort of like the Shops @ Don Mills design.

Do you mean Nations @ Keele & St Clair? (Stockyards)...

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

Whatever happened to "The Box"? aka a smaller No Frills store? I kinda like the idea of Loblaws separating the usual No Frills stores from their smaller stores. https://canadiangrocer.com/loblaw-thinks-outside-box-new-banner

What street car? It will be great to see the Eglinton LRT open up ASAP, I know that much. https://www.torontoenvironment.org/what_is_the_difference_between_streetcar_lrt_and_subway

It clearly reads "July 24th @ 3PM for the auction.

Yup. That space on the left is still for lease. Maybe lower the rent?
  17. R

    Woodbine Centre

That's a possible valid point. Maybe the Bay is only still there because their lease really did expire 3 years ago, but they were allowed to stay on an extended lease at the same rent...strictly a guess...or there was a (very) long term lease that never increased as the years went on. (because...

    Woodbine Centre

The movie theatre spent good (enough) money to keep the theatre open. The Bay is still not a clearance centre (by some miracle) Woodbine Centre is still alive and somehow breathing...a level above life support. (by the miracle that be...)

    Toronto Toronto | 900 St Clair West | 43.69m | 12s | Canderel | BDP Quadrangle

I think that's the point. What I am learning fast and quick is, invest in a condo with a view of a grave yard so nobody can look into my place and my balcony view will never be blocked.
