Oh lord... Ugly, name, ugly colour... this was NOT necessary

    Ottawa | The Emmy | 79m | 25s | Place Dorée Real Estate Holdings | GeigerHuot

The columns and the planters take up all the space! Should've forgone one or the other for a more pleasant pedestrian experience. Wonder if records confirm that trees in planters survive more than trees in the ground in DT Ottawa at least, since they won't be drowned in snow salts for 6 months...

    1887 St-Joseph Boulevard | 27 to 57m | 7/3x9/16/2x18s | SDLP | Figurr

Is it just me or have we seen multiple dense/high rise projects proposed in Orleans yet none of them ever really come to fruition (other than Petrie Islands, 1-10)?

    Moxy Marriott | 126 York St. & 151 George St. | 72m | 22s | Rimap | Le Groupe Architex

Looking pretty nice and clean. Looking forward to seeing what the balcony railings/glass looks like.

Cant wait to see this one rise. Will be cool to see it driving down Nicholas.

    130 Slater St | Office-to-Resdiential Conversion | Katasa Group | ? + figurr

Great spot, more residential conversions, nice looking building. And if they update/fix the ground level (which it seems like is in the plans), this is a slam dunk!

    Imagine a world...

    Ottawa's Skyline

That first downtown one is pretty nice. Releve looks beautiful, too bad they aren't 5-10 floors higher to really break up the monotony of the skyline. The next phase will help a little.

    O-Train East-West Line 1 & Line 3

Wonder what the plan for the area is after station is completed and open. Hopefully they can redevelop and add housing nearby. I hate how much "greenspace" and open fields & parking we leave around some of our LRT stations, it makes them that much less convenient to use.

    1184-1196 Cummings Ave. | 18m | 6s | TCU | Project1 Studio

Really hoping for active street level retail & activation in many of these new builds in this area. With so many projects going up, it has potential to totally change this pocket of town and make it quite nice, lively, walkable, etc.

    Ottawa | 88 Beechwood | 30m | 9s | Minto | RAW

We could easily add 20 of these around town. Think Bank St, King Edward, Carling, Bronson, etc.

    Renaissance Marriot | 118m | 36s | Rimap | IBI+GeigerHuot

Nice and exciting to see activity on the site. Can't wait to see it riiiiiiissseeeee!

    Gemini Tower | 48m | 14s | Theberge+Mastercraft Starwood | Fabiani

Eww. I was expecting a boring but cohesive black tower. They have been slow to do windows & cladding on the outside walls facing Baseline/Woodroffe, so had no idea they had snuck in this hideous design on the inside.

    Ottawa | Centrepointe Collective | 65+72m | 21+23s | Richcraft | RLA

It looks worst right now because of the lack of windows I think. Once they fill out more of the windows and add hopefully glass balconies it should help even out the heaviness of the precast.

    Parks, Plazas and Open Spaces

Let's hope it opens for next spring/summer.

    2829 Dumaurier Ave. | 129.9m | 40s | Brigil | RLA

Chances are low that it gets build like that. It will turn into a charcwhite with minimal windows soon enough...
  17. P

    O-Train East-West Line 1 & Line 3

Any chance that big lot & parking can get redeveloped with added density in the near future?
  18. P

    New Ottawa Senators Arena

The design is okay... I like the one wavy/colourful side (mimicking flames) but that will only look good at night, might fall flat during the days. The design looks a bit disjointed though, the backside doesn't carry the same style...

    1047 Richmond Rd | 24/127/133m | 6/38/40s | Fengate | IBI Group

Woohoo! I'm really excited for this one. I like the height, the design and living in the area looking forward to seeing them peak out from different angles in the area! Wonder what will be there first, residents in these buildings or opening of the Western extension of Line 1? haha

Ottawa | Kìwekì Point (formerly Nepean Point) Redevelopment | NCC | JRS, Patkau

They've built a pretty large patio and had some nice lighting/furniture/couches, etc. The previous one was a bit more basic and smaller.
