I caught car 6207 on CP today. I assume that it’s headed to Thunder Bay.

Saw car 56 on CP today (that means three of these things were shipped to Thunder Bay within a week).

Thanks for the info-I had wondered what those numbers were. I can tell you that the number of the car in the first picture is 53. The number for the second car wasn't visible in any of my shots. There aren't any tracking apps like the ones that you might use for transit vehicles or airplanes...

I spotted two in-transit Flexity Freedoms this past weekend on CP (one Saturday and one Sunday). Curiously, they were both on a Toronto-Winnipeg train that doesn’t stop at Lambton Yard in West Toronto. I take it this means they're in transit to Thunder Bay.

These are apparently variants of the German-made Leopard 2. The first two are actual tanks, while the other two are engineering vehicles. I don't know much more, however. As for the private car, it was brought to Canada (via Vancouver) to provide security for this shipment.

While walking along Dupont yesterday, I heard a train over my scanner. I ran to the nearest viewing point, and saw a fairly typical CP mixed freight approaching. What I was not expecting were the four military vehicles and ex CNR passenger car "Tioga Pass" on the tail end.

After going through some photos I took last week, I noticed that GO 602 (one of the oldest MP40s) now has the same roof-mounted particulate filter that 657-666 were delivered with. Does anyone know if this was just a one off conversion, or is GO planning to retrofit other units?

When I was walking along Dupont this afternoon, I noticed that CP had a line of auto racks occupying the third track (which would block any deliveries to Hillcrest). Maybe that's causing issues as well.

Based on the photo that was posted, it doesn't look like there are any Amtrak style baggage doors on the conductor's side. There is apparently a Diesel HEP genset inside the carbody (I don't know the exact specs though). And with regards VIA, they won't need any cabbages, since the new Siemens...
