A member on another forum who is an operator said that the record for fastest speed on a TTC train was 92km/h on an H6, between Vic park and Warden.

That was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you. lafard - Interesting, I've experienced more brokken down H6's than H5's. But it makes sense why they the H6's are in better condition, and how they are keeping the controller packs... I mean what would the buyers use them for anyway?

Even if for some reason they were to keep a few old trains for backup, why H6's? H5's seem to be in better condition, and they squeal even less than H6's...

The new trains aren't technically articulated though...

The second trainset (which is the third one made) was delivered in December, so the TTC now has two TR's on property. You did see the second set. CityNews says that the TRs are now supposed to start service in June.

How exactly is glencairn supposed to be pronounced? I've heard everyone pronounce it as glen-caren. I just can't make it two syllables from the way it is spelt... if people who's first language isn't english, wouldn't they rely on the spelling? Sometimes the correct pronounciation can be...

Hmm You answered the chime question witht he video, but I said in my question that I already knew that there were automated messages. You know from the video, I realize the TR makes quite a high pitched sound when at rest...

I wasn't trying to say that just because a guy says something on the internet with no other proof means hes is saying the truth. I was just trying to say that Agram knew what he was saying, and not stating why he should be believed is my fault.

Agram- I believe Electrify is asking for a link in which you are getting all this infomation. Obviously not every source has to come from the internet, it has to go through people before it end up on the internet. So I was wondering if anyone has an idea why the TR has controller that tilts...

Do you Really think that the TTC is going to bother advertising on these screens? Obviously everyone ignored my post. Like I said before, I don't think the amount of screens in each train are sufficient enough to use as a marketing medium. They aren't even large enough to really catch your eye...

T1's are so common that I don't think you would really need to wish for one. I also wish for H4's... that's because they're actually more silent and smoother. At least in my experience, plus, their days are numbered.
