  1. A Torontonian Now

    Toronto Toronto | 155 Consumers Road | ?m | 50s | Spotlight Development

I agree, although I might add Dupont Station (i.e. Dupont at Spadina). Despite being close to Summerhill, it would even out the transfer load and provide connectivity to the northern part of the west leg of Line 1.

Woah - that is a huge change for Kingston. Biggest thing since Princess Towers, which must be over 50 years ago now. BTW, Kingston is a hugely underrated city. It's downtown is far more urban and livable than its population suggests. I loved the three years I spent there.

Yesterday: And my regular vantage for a couple of years over the pit of the excavation, then below ground formwork, located at the southeast corner of the site is just about to get covered over:

“Kitchener Developers, Architects Give Up, Way Up” Best one by far.

    Vaughan Toronto | CG Tower | 188.97m | 60s | Cortel Group | BDP Quadrangle

And let's remember that the KPMG building would never have been built but for the anticipated opening of the subway.

I think a different cynical reason might be behind this, which is less deep lots, and therefore smaller lots and greater density per subdivision. But I agree that it is also architecturally more pleasing than the shoved-out-front garages.
