That's fair, but imagine if they widened the sidewalks a bit, added more trees on both sides, and made the streetcar tracks a greenway. Then Queen could begin to resemble a mini Omotesando. Terribly editted photo for reference:

Sounds good. I wish they'd actually work with the Sheraton to make the bridge more accessible & useful especially if they don't plan on pedestrianizing that section of Queen. Indeed, I'd rather they strongly consider pedestrianizing the areas a bit further west where there are more shops, and...

Wasn't Ontario Place (OP) claiming there were around 3 million visitors going to it already in recent years? (Source) With more programming, and more of that year round, shouldn't we expect even more visitors, perhaps even approaching the 6 million the gov't is estimating? I don't think...

Definitely agree a preparedness plan would also be necessary! With a proper plan, which school board(s) would be tapped for which region could be laid out so less trying to figure that out if an emergency happened. The plan could also lay out a series of "if X do Y" scenarios to account for when...

I agree with those saying it should be a municipal emergency response system. Would it be feasible to deploy the closest school bus fleet and their drivers? For the most part, aren't most school buses parked for most of the time except in the mornings & late afternoon?

Oh I'm so glad it opened & they kept the brick & window seating from before 😊 Seems the fireplace was torn out though 😢 But maybe if it proves popular enough they'll bring that back 🍀🤞
