Blaine Higgs lost the plot by obsessing with anti-trans initiatives in schools. Sound familiar?

That design is beautiful, but why do I feel certain that the final product won't look anything close to that?

Maybe my memory is failing me, but weren't the Edgewater midrises a Regency project?

    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

He's a nice guy and I like his shop a lot, but on this issue, he's delusional.

Kind of a baffling comment. Why does he think that apartment-dwellers will be any less inclined to leave their homes than someone living in a detached single family home? I understand concerns about a massing proposal appearing to look "out of place" with the existing street, but I do not...

I walked by the Tap Room twice on Friday night (before and after my dinner at Bernadette's, which was outstanding, btw -- I cannot recommend it enough). Place was totally empty except for the same two employees who were sitting at the bar.

From the PDF, they define a "regional mall" as: "Anchored by one or two full-line enclosed department stores of generally no less than 300,000 sq. ft."

Yes, some of the above comments had me concerned for a moment that this was an official COE production, but it was actually just made by "Ric's Drone Videos".

Another cost we don't need, entirely thanks to Danielle Smith's desire to appease her weird conspiracy theorist base. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/alberta-municipalities-election-changes-1.7335780

^That's exactly it. The UCP, and Danielle Smith in particular, are fiercely tribal at their core.

Edmonton City Centre Mall (Renovations) | ?m | 2s | LaSalle Investment Management

While in general I can't disagree, I happened to walk through City Centre Mall today on my lunch break and I was struck by how much foot traffic was in it. It really felt not far off 2019 levels to me. However, there's so little retail inside the mall to take advantage of that. Winners was...

Yeah... when I was at UofA, most of my friends didn't have cars, or (if they did), seldom used them. Even when I was in law school, I knew very few people who drove to class. I know the LRT gets a bad rap these days especially, but, as far as I can see, it's still used in a very robust way by...
