    Yellowhead Trail Upgrades

Eastbound sign said starting November 18, take exit to access 149 St, 142 St, and St Albert Trail. No left turn onto 127 St. That was a very busy left turn before and I didn't see a designated detour route.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

First, shoutout to the amazing butter chicken at Davies Coffee & Convenience. Would be better if they provided naan bread, and small cafe tables to sit down and eat. The east lot was somewhat busy on Friday. Does anyone have any insight to Tuesday to Thursday? The bigger west lot seems less...

    Arc Smart Fare System

You can buy a monthly pass from a retailer to save waiting for it in the mail: https://www.edmonton.ca/ets/where-to-buy-fares-passes #2 and #3 sums it up, and it is an easy way to take transit if you know for sure you'll be taking a lot of transit. But you should really go Arc Card. Benefits...

    Arc Smart Fare System

I forgot that midday was also non-peak. I considered peak 6am-6pm. Still doesn't bode well for late evening.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the platform at Churchill Stop to Mill Woods was PACKED. I remember there's been some discussion that the stop may have been underbuilt given its role in the system, but I hope five-minute frequencies help things a little.

    LRT Safety

I text ETS Security 780-442-4900 anytime I see anything.

    Arc Smart Fare System

Capital Line reminds me of BART, a commuter rail service that uses metro-style trains, coupled with the safety issues, I'm not surprised that non-peak ridership hasn't returned to normal. And given that Oilers and Elks games likely make up at least half the off-peak ridership, that mean non-peak...

    LRT Expansion Planning

Edmontonians in Trumpeter and area could utilize the park and ride that's been paid for and maintained by StAT. Mayor Sohi did note that Castledowns is a high priority. Gorman and Horsehill is not a priority at this time and I don't think it should be until both neighbourhoods are...

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I got my lazy butt on at the 102 St stop the other day to transfer to Capital Line at Churchill. Haven't been able to do so going to work yet as I usually get to Churchill when the Valley Line just left. Can't wait for 5-minute frequencies then. One thing though is that I waited almost 3...

    Yellowhead Trail Upgrades

Yes only for the C/D lanes. It looks like a dual right turn lane configuration from 142 St.

    Yellowhead Trail Upgrades

It seems like the eastbound C/D lanes' base pavement and curbs are in, plus traffic lights are up at 142 St. They could open it for the winter and continue finishing works in the new year.

It almost seems like the decorative panel will go above the glazing.

    Capital Line LRT

They're starting to develop the first phase of Gorman with a medium-density and mixed-use development on the southeast corner. I definitely think they prefer the chickens come before the egg going forward. Although Heritage Valley is needed now because of the park and ride component.

    Edmonton | Station Pointe | ?m | ?s

There are two buildings. $35 million is for both buildings.

    Edmonton | Station Pointe | ?m | ?s

Half a million (31 units in each building), will likely include support space. I was wondering what they were starting to build here. Hopeful this space will help lift up the young adults it will serve.

    Neighbourhood Renewal

There are curb extensions and bus bulges down the street. Not at every intersection but at least every second intersection.

I just realized that the extension of all three lines are currently under construction. That’s pretty cool.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I think we have 26, enough for all train sets to have 2 cars at 10 minute frequencies but only half the train sets can have 2 cars at 5 minute frequencies, with a few spares (10-15% is the norm) Valley Line West is adding 38 which should be enough for 5 minutes 2 car trainsets for the entire route.

    Alberta Politics

Ok so nothing close to public auto insurance was announced, but my auto insurance should be capped at the rate of inflation next year. I wonder who is regulating this?
