The interior render shows only the South West access, there are 5 levels of escalators/stairs in total from street level to platform level: 3 E-W to go down the shaft + 1 N-S to turn into the tunnel concourse level + 1 E-W inside the tunnel to get to platform level. In the North East access...

It's similar in a way that the North shaft will also be the access to underground works. However because of the heritage façade being kept in place they can't erect the same enclosed structure. It'll be open air and mobile crane to be used instead of overhead crane. This is not confirmed but I...

Mostly for dust cover and weather proof the site during winter. Since the South shaft will have TOC built on top, the North shaft will be the main access point and ventilation for all underground works, worker will go up and down by elevator (like a coal mine). Plus it's needed as support for...

They probably used the wrong ctb file (customizable color tables) when plotting to PDF. MX has a specific ctb file for all designers and consultants to use. Line 3 is still blue as fas as I know.

I do have access and will leak interesting info in other areas too. Just have to pace it out, hopefully not to be picked up by BlogTO and end up doxing myself.

Sadly no, the project agreement only requires passive protection for future level boarding (see document). That's why there is an extra 3 steps stair at the bottom of the escalators. Whoever did the rendering must have positioned the trains too low.

It's gonna be secant piles wall (1+1 configuration) to bedrock and then rock excavation to -40m from street level. Once both shafts are excavated, a mined tunnel will be digged underneath Yonge & Queen (existing Queen station) to connect them.

There is no real in-house technical expertise at MX as far as I know, they contract it our to design firms as TA (Technical Advisor) who acts on behalf of MX, the CA (Contract Authority), and whom the contractors mainly deal with in coordination. These firms could act as TA in one project and...
