Great series, very well done. Sherbourne Commons is one of those ideas that looks great in renderings, but is a bit of a headscratcher when you're actually there. It's quite strange how difficult it is for Toronto to create great new public spaces and quality architecture.

No doubt. This is why these Metrolinx News blogs can be so misleading. Generally speaking it makes a lot of sense. But when we look at all the factors (capacity, etc.), deeper stations make sense in this particular situation - that or evaluating an above ground section for East Harbour.

Have to agree with some of the other comments here. On its own, I don't mind it. As an addition to Robarts, it's a failure. They've ruined the building.

Looks interesting. I know it's primarily an ESport venue, but it looks like a great multipurpose addition. I'm curious to see the north side - seems like it'll have a major impact on the CNE's usual layout.

I see where you're coming from. The problem is that Metrolinx is supposed to be a somewhat arms length government agency that implements transit plans based on transit needs. It's become a PR agency for the Ministry of Transportation. "Fake News?" Certainly debatable. I'd say the "News" below...

That's the problem. The government shouldn't be taking these decisions out of their hands. Metrolinx News serves as PR for government decisions.

I don't expect them to be. But as a government agency I certainly expect transparency and accountability - not endless PR spin.

Ultimately the best solution would addressed local transit, with enhanced GO Transit for trips downtown. The SSE is not going to have a dramatic impact on the latter. Too bad the Scarborough LRT didn't go through. Now we'd be focusing on a Sheppard extension to SSE, along with a DRL to...

It doesn't matter how many billions are being spent if the core issues aren't being addressed. The LRT plan was well on it's way to being built, with considerable support from the community - even with a transfer.
