What a waste! What were they thinking: Ok we have an all-brown drab outdated building, so let's rip it all off and start fresh! Yeah! Let's do it. I know, let's recover it in dull drab gray tiles, with a hint other gray - for more grayness. Adding some black along the entranceway. Surely, in 20...

Yawn, frozen-then- microwaved-food (some steak cuts, and veg, potato). (Jacob's is right around the corner on Brandt.) Saw a unit for rent on kijiji asking $1600

In this first picture what's that black 'ramp' sticking out from a floor - like a balcony? I've seen this on other buildings. I wonder what keeps it from tipping over and out. And prevents it from causing that floor space to dip...or is concrete dried fully by now...

I thought it all is to prevent parking/double parking? Car door 'dingers'.

Poor Bar Wellington almost grafted to its base . Eat your heart out, Europe! In 'Vaughnville' this is how we do it! Future generations will come to see our stylistic prowess.

Most boring new build brick building ever! Looks like a warehouse. No embellishments whatsoever. Is minimalist or cheap|?

So plain, why? No brick or wood trim. Basic box. Imagination or design? How much are these things again?

OK! Another take, here: http://www.greaterfool.ca/2013/01/07/numbies/ I’m at the end of my wits and hope you can offer a solution. I bought a new condo (12 unit building) last August and put the for sale sign up three weeks later. The condo was advertised with concrete floors and party wall...

How the firebreak & soundproofing between units? The whole thing is made of 2 x4s with a bit of drywall on them? I understand there's code and all, but realistically speaking a 2x4 structure would be all engulfed, no?

Well, Vaughansters, roll up your skinny jeans don your felt chapeau (touques are sooo Queen-West!), and head over to Jimmy's Coffee for some fair trade. Not a few doors up, SE corner of Portland and Adelaide, is a parking lot surely to be turned into condos one day. You will be wailing, Do we...

Thank you, Adam, for dropping by. The similar outpouring from "limp wristed lefties" towing the party line was impressive. Full disclosure: I voted against Ford (and not for- Smitherman either!) and against Miller. Looking forward to several mega towers at King @ Bluejays way...

Poor Bar Wellington squished up. Does this look like something a "world class" city would approve? A concrete wall flat against a heritage building? Ridiculous. Only our local councillor - who's never met a condo plan he doesn't like - would allow builders a free rein to destroyour city. This...

King Blue Condominiums (Greenland) - Real Estate -

My humble opinion, I am making a note on my will-not-get-built-due-to-lack-of-sales-in-saturated-market list. That's is all. :( See ya in 6-8 months.

775 King West Condos (Minto) - Real Estate -

In this area the absolute max you'd pay for parking is 175/month. So $40,000 would buy you 20 years of parking!! Add the interest and taxes and condo fees for the parking, and it's not even worth it. Not even in the resale market.

500 Wellington West (Freed) - Real Estate -

I guess it will not sell so it's for rent?? Come on now - does anything in say NY or Hollywood rent for even $35,000/month?  The cheapy This is Downtown condos are being built next door. Starting in the 200's....and the realtors call this street" millionaires row in some...

500 Wellington West (Freed) - Real Estate -

Joke's on them. This building shares 75 Portland's parking - with the unwashed ordinary folks. Exiting 75 Portland's garage door of a weekday morning is impossible. Wall to wall cars stuck waiting for traffic lights at King St., with king st. delivery trucks making the rounds to local...

500 Wellington West (Freed) - Real Estate -

Putting it into perspective, with 7.5million your could build at least one if not two giant houses, with horse stables, guest quarters, servant quarters, stunning gardens and driveways, just outside of toronto. with enough left over for a smaller Muskoka cottage!

650 King West (Freed Developments) - Real Estate -

Wheee! Each unit gets a randomly placed concrete pillar? Lucky! I bet this was not on the sales center plans.

What kind of wood is it? Maple is the best as it's one of the hardest. Other woods will be softer.

    Investment Property, wait or buy?

Yeah I posted a quick analysis on another thread: ;) :)  :( I follow this area on MLS and notice a lot of listings for 55 Stewart/550 Wellington on the market, these days...
