    Parliament Streetcar

Why haven't they restored the Parliament streetcar? It would get good ridership, it's a way to provide north-south service in downtown and also help provide relief to Yonge line a bit. Why not?

Halfway through the decade in Toronto. What's our status?

Tomorrow, it's 2015. While we have had a lot of setbacks, we have had successes. This is not a thread for the next year, but the next 5. I want to know: 1) What went well in Toronto from 2010 - 2014 2) What didn't go so well from 2010 - 2014 (obvious, but be specific) 3) What would like to...

So we've reached the midpoint of the decade. What do we need to do for 2020?

Tomorrow, it's 2015. While we have had a lot of setbacks, we have had successes. This is not a thread for the next year, but the next 5. I want to know: 1) What went well in GTA transit from 2010 - 2014 2) What didn't go so well from 2010 - 2014 3) What would like to happen between now...

Is the west side of Toronto more prominent than the east side?

Hear me out. It seems to me reading blogto, torontolife, spacing, torontoist, etc. It seems all of Toronto's greatest attractions are west of Yonge Street. Most of the trendy neighbourhoods outside of Riverdale and Leslieville are all west of Yonge Street. Obviously, there's the...

Do Torontonians complain about Toronto too much?

http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2014/07/29/chris-selley-toronto-is-a-city-of-cynical-gridlocked-grumps/ I admit, I am very guilt of this.

Sue Ann Levy - Transit a political football

TORONTO - There’s one thing that can be said with certainty about the GTA transit policies put forward by the three provincial leaders: The Scarborough subway is still on track. There were ramblings from Metrolinx CEO Bruce McCuaig in the May edition of Toronto Life that he’d prefer to...

TTC: Why was the upper half of the University Portion of the YUS line never relocated

I always hear that the upper west half of the YUS line has lower ridership because it runs in between the Allen Expressway. So why was that portion of the subway not relocated to Dufferin Street or a better route when the had the chance? Is or was there a better was to proceed north of Eglinton...

Why is commuter/regional rail so bad in Canada?

As much as we complain about the GO Train Montreal still just has hourly trains, and some lines have 1 train every 2 hours. Vancouver has just rush hour service to Abbotsford. Is it because of private rail ownership? What do we have to do to improve it?

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Hear me on this: About 2 years ago, the city council decided that the Sheppard East corridor would get LRT and not subway. Then the province said they would not start until 2017. Now, it's after the election. But what if the new city council reopens the sheppard debate, and the decides on...

    Is LRT's repuation damaged permanently?

I say this because almost everyone off the internet is a lukewarm supporter of LRT at best in Toronto. Will opinions change when Eglinton comes on line?
