Cityhousing building at Queenston Circle along the LRT. 6 storeys. Phase 2 looks like it would be taller. Features retail along Main St, behind a ridiculous 8.2 metre road widening(!!!).

A proposed 6-storey mixed-use residential & commercial development designed by Invizij Architects and Toms + McNally for CityHousing Hamilton on the north side of Queenston Road, west of Rosewood Road and east of Strathearne Avenue in Hamilton's Normanhurst neighbourhood (along the future Hamilton LRT corridor). 40 units, 40 vehicle parking spaces, 16 bicycle parking spaces. The proposal is targeting Passive House standard.

Just one render from the Design Review Panel Presentation of July 2021:

A 1:1 parking ratio for public housing directly beside an LRT station is ridiculous.

The Design Review Panel Presentation says there will be "two or more commercial spaces" on the ground level (which some of the parking will be for), and the landscape plan seems to imply that the parking lot will be used for both phases of the property's development. The parking ratio is going to be lower than 1:1 upon full buildout, but the extra spaces may be useful if phase 1 somehow opens before the Hamilton LRT.

I wouldn't be worried, as long as Phase 2 actually gets built.
