What do you think? Personally I'm not very impressed at all, though it has slightly grown on me.

wow. how much did that design cost? 200 million?

i guess they wanna take all the attention away from traffic shaping and focus it on this piece of shit.

what's wrong with this?

"The new brand platform was conceived by Zulu Alpha Kilo, a new agency founded by Zak Moureh, who has developed brand and ad campaigns for Nike, Mini and Pfizer. Montreal's Lg2 and Toronto's Cossette also worked on the campaign.

I don't agree with the blog's take on his website. I find it a little irritating actually. The logo is kind of cool though. I would love to hear his rational for the Bell logo and tagline though.

EDIT: After a little research it wasn't just Zula Alpha Kilo - it was the collaboration of 4 different agencies. I can only imagine how much they paid for what is a pretty dull logo.

Here are some of the new ads (it's linked from another forum so if this is a problem feel free to erase it):

Very retro... I guess they're banking on nostalgia to bring back some of their customers. Bell is bureaucratic, disorganized, and puts little effort in retaining it customers. They need more than new logo... and a better attempt at one... I prefer the current logo as it hints at innovation and forward thinking

Hope its a temporary ad, not a total face change.

Bell Canada's new logo...WHAT logo?

Syn and everyone: I looked at this topic and I thought-WHAT logo? I was expecting something intriguing and this is all that they came up with?
Some marketing company was actually paid big bucks for THAT?
A starving graphic artist or art school students probably could have done much better!

I liked the letter font on Bell Canada's moniker since the 80s-I feel why change what was not broken?

Prometheus: The old style Bell Telephone company logo is a classic-I recall variations used like my personal favorite-The Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania.

The ad is OK-but that emphasis on the letters ER makes me think of the Budweiser frogs commercial for some reason - Bud-Wise-ER and the fact that in the Long Island speech dialect we do not pronounce our "ER" or hardly at all!

Observations and opinions from Long Island Mike

The logo looks squishy, like the big "B" is pushing the little "e" up against the wall of "L"s.

Back the the future. It's very similar to their 1980s/early 1990s logo.

But the most important question is... does this signal the death of Frank and Gordon? If so... I LOVE THIS NEW LOGO! :p

The beavers are in fact dead. I was joking that they were going to replace them with nickels and dimes in the spirit of charging their mobility customers to receive text messages.

I like the new look. Like others said, flashback to the retro 80s/90s with a slightly 21st century edge to it. It's replacing something that's gotten dated, it was a very mid 90s look and that face in the squiggly made no sense at all.

Frank and Gordon? I think they're called Jules and Bertrand here in Quebec. Whatever you call them, good riddance!
